The adverb creates continuous rhymes, we just talked about it. But our language is full of terms that can rhyme. My frequent rereadings make me notice them. I believe that involuntary rhyme should be avoided not only in the same sentence and in the same period, but also in close periods. And the reason is simple: you can feel it. The rhyme has a strong tone, which overrides the overall tone of the story. By rereading what we have written we can understand if our writing is musical or if some words create an obstacle to the reading flow.
It's always a question of sound, for me: there are Phone Number Data combinations that clash, words that are better not placed together. As in a film, even in a story there must be a sound engineer. CLICK TO TWEET The concept of “self-editing” The writer cannot be his own editor , we all know this well. We are not objective, not 100% at least, but not as a matter of arrogance or pride, but because we look at our history with an internal eye. An editor is something more than a pure external eye that reads our text.
He is someone who knows how to improve communication, who knows where it is best to cut and where to add. But we can do one thing to level up as writers: we can read our writings with all the prejudices we can find, we must read it prejudiced: we know that it will be crap, that we are doing ourselves a big favor by reading it, rather than occupying our time better. I believe that the perspective changes radically. I'll give you an example: I started writing a story for the blog, the idea came to mind during one of my mountain excursions, and in the end I gave up: I was prevented and I don't think I was wrong. That story was nothing special.
